Intrusive Instances on File - Art Glass Sculpture
10 sheets of float glass layered together,
Laser-etched from handwritten documents,
Edition of 6.
The Intrusive thought experiment was a project I ran last year to document the flow of thought behind intrusive thinking, originally the works were on paper until I decided the glass would convey a more literal feeling of vulnerability and fragility. This was imperative as the experiment was about communicating negative mental health in hopes of creating a line of empathy between the viewer and the work.
The work was recently in a 3-week exhibition I held at the White Box Gallery, Blackheath, titled: 'Works In Words'.
An edition was also featured in The Graduate Art Show, 2022, and the Vanner Gallery Premium Show 2023.

The Process
Glass etchings continued, research regarding 'visual communication of intrusive thought processes' took new forms, these were featured in my Goldsmiths degree show installation, 'At Heart, we are Only an Archive'.
